My Mother-in-Law Devoured Our $2000 Wedding Cake, So I Iced Her With Sweet Revenge

So, imagine this: our gorgeous $2000 wedding cake, the centerpiece of our big day, mysteriously vanished...into my mother-in-law's stomach!

I (28F) married my husband (30M) last weekend, but the lead-up to our special day was an absolute nightmare thanks to my monster-in-law.

My MIL has always been overbearing and critical of our relationship, but I never imagined she’d stoop this low. We spent months planning our dream wedding, including a stunning $2000 custom cake that was a true work of art. The baker delivered it to my in-laws’ house the night before the wedding for safekeeping.

Big mistake.

At 11 PM, I got a hysterical call from my fiancé. He’d gone to check on the cake, only to find his mother and her pack of friends demolishing our wedding cake! They’d already eaten half of it, laughing and taking selfies with frosting all over their faces.

I was seeing red. This woman had finally gone too far. My fiancé was devastated but insisted we shouldn’t confront her until after the wedding to avoid more drama. I reluctantly agreed, but I knew I couldn’t let this slide.

The next morning, while everyone was distracted with wedding prep, I snuck into MIL’s room. I found her perfectly pressed mother-of-the-groom outfit and got to work. I shortened the hem by 6 inches, making it inappropriately short for a woman her age. Then I “accidentally” spilled some cranberry juice on the front.

When she walked down the aisle looking like a mess, I felt a twisted sense of satisfaction. She was mortified, especially when the photographer kept trying to get her to pose for family photos.

My husband eventually found out what I did and is furious. He says I took it too far and embarrassed the whole family. But I say she got what she deserved for ruining one of the most important elements of our wedding.

So, Was I Wrong for Teaching My Cake-Destroying MIL a Lesson?
