Too much exercise for too long
Over-exercising or prolonged exercise without adequate recovery time can increase the body’s levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol. Increased cortisol suppresses the activity of immune cells, making the body more susceptible to infection and disease.
Eat too little fat
Eating less fat is also considered a good habit but can be harmful to health. Because the brain is made up of 60% fat, it is necessary to eat good fats such as olive oil, avocados as well as omega-3 in fish oil and fatty fish, to help reduce inflammation in the body and improve brain function.
Using too much soap to wash your hands
Using antibacterial soaps too often over a long period of time can limit your exposure to the many types of germs your immune system needs to learn to deal with. This can weaken your immune system, making you more susceptible to illness.
Sleeping too much
Too much sleep also increases the risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, anxiety and obesity in adults. If you find that 7-8 hours of sleep a night is not enough or you feel tired after a good night’s sleep, consider seeing a doctor.
Use supplements instead of healthy foods
If you only take supplements every day, without maintaining a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, you are missing out on important ingredients for optimal immune health.
Add too many vegetables
Eating lots of vegetables is considered a healthy eating habit. But consuming too many vegetables with high sodium content can easily lead to high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke.
Drink too much water during the day
Drinking too much water can easily cause dehydration, which dilutes the salts and other electrolytes in the body, affecting the body’s regular functions. If you feel nauseous, have a headache, feel confused, or disoriented after drinking water, you should see a doctor soon.
Habit of not eating sugar
Cutting out sugar can reduce your risk of diabetes, slow down your aging process, help you sleep better, and help you lose weight. But sugar is part of your diet. So instead of cutting it out completely, just choose whole fruits, not sugary fruit juices or cookies.
Wash your hair too many times a week
Over-washing your hair can dry out your scalp, causing it to flake and itch, and can also lead to conditions like folliculitis or seborrheic dermatitis. Ideally, you should only wash your hair twice a week.
If you are still maintaining these things, you should quit as soon as possible to protect your health!
